Creativity for the Soul

I was watching PBS the other day and Bob Ross, the painter, was on teaching in his transcendental way. I was reminded of one of the first TV personalities talented at painting and allowing the viewer to experience their own brand of creativity peacefully. He used to refer to variants in one’s paintings as “happy accidents.”. His soothing voice, comfortable clothes, and well groomed afro made me feel like I could do anything artistically. The main idea is creativity in any form is valid and the starting point is the desire to create. Often in the past when someone saw my artwork either they would say “I like that work,”and/or “I couldn’t do…..”. They were comparing themselves to an artist that had been crafting for years and often to the child within them at 6 years old drawing stick figures who stopped creating artistically.

“There is no perfection in artwork,” I once read. When creating a painting, sketch, sculpture, etc., one needs to enjoy the moment of creative bliss and accidents. Creativity stops time and shuts the brain off. It can be a form of meditation and escape from the world of “hustle and bustle.” Creativity allows the unique unquestionable identity of the soul to be seen. What is so great about creating is the exploration of the unknown without knowing the next step. It lets one open to the possibilities of the imagination connecting to all areas of life. A simple act of dipping a brush in colorful paint changes how one sees their world. The motions of mixing paint or shaping clay in one’s fingers unlocks the illusion of the mind’s control.

Modern Sense

I am overstanding the advertisements on Youtube are an example of the insensitivity of modern media. It is an insatiable beast who needs to express automatic projection of consumer intent. It attempts to violate us, overstimulate, and control our subconscious. Online advertisements are a manifestation of knowledge and intention to control our habits, conversation, and thoughts regarding our options. Advertisements whether on television(tell-lies to your vision), computer, tablet, or phone seek to make up formulas of thought primarily focused on the act of buying, selling, or being bought thus controlled. They are connected to the hive patriarchal dominant culture.

I am seeing pornography is an expression, a branch of human genius and human lower vibration without limit or healthy boundary. It is an insidious monster working at the speed of Ochosis(refer to Yoruba orisha) in light, sound, and thought. Pornography is a sexual minister of impulse, a sexual branch of the tree of technology and intention. The modern assault on one's senses seeks to align one's conscious and subconscious sensibility with any promotional arm. The sex genres, categories divide a whole connection and sight of the Supreme Being's truth in all of us. A true test of one's wholesome vision or deception.

Any media outlet seeks to use the unseen to enhance the lure of the seen impulse unconsciously and consciously in the body. Our participation in its exposure lends to our misunderstanding of our collective insanity and societal insatiable nature. A true lie incorporates some truth in its ability to be valid without detection. The style of advertisements is pornographic in the blending of sexuality
and consumerism. My former indulgence in porn made me complicit in my own accepted slavery and blocked me from truly being free in mind, body, and soul connection. The penetration of the pornographic image is quick and subconscious, projective as an insertion of a penis into a vagina, as hypnotic as a breast or torso undulating with a bounce or heave.
